With one of the highest densities of castles per square kilometer in the world, you will come across numerous ruins that bear witness to the region's tumultuous history.

The castles of Fleckenstein, Windstein, Lichtenberg and 22 other monuments from the old days will accompany you through this historic park.
The lookout points of the Krappenfels rock or the Bohemian rock will give you a view of the forested hills as far as the eye can see.

BALLON DES VOSGES

Also known as the High Vosges, this region is full of emblematic peaks such as the Honeck or the Grand Ballon. Lakes with crystal-clear waters, such as the Lac Blanc or the Schiessrothried, will guide you and villages with typical Alsatian colours, such as Riquewihr, will give you a warm welcome.

On the Franco-Swiss border, walk along the banks of the Doubs River.
The Saut du Doubs is an impressive waterfall at the exit of the gorge, which is not to be missed.
